Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Laika (“we”, “us”), based in Padua, Italy, collects through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For any privacy question you can reach us at cristian@laikasat.com.

1. Data we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the “Request pilot access” form, we collect the details you enter: your name, work email, company, constellation size, and any information you include in the message field.

Usage data. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (e.g. page views and referrers). This analytics is privacy-friendly and cookieless: it does not set cookies, does not create persistent identifiers, and does not track you across other websites.

2. Why we use it and on what legal basis

• To respond to your pilot request and assess a possible collaboration — legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
• To measure and improve the website using aggregated, anonymous analytics — legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.

3. Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not profile visitors. Because our analytics is cookieless and we store no non-essential information on your device, this site does not require a cookie-consent banner.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We rely on a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf (data processors):

• Vercel Inc. — website hosting and cookieless analytics.
• Web3Forms — delivery of the pilot-access form submissions to our inbox by email.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep it

We keep pilot-request submissions for as long as needed to evaluate and follow up on your enquiry, and afterwards only as long as necessary for our legitimate business or legal purposes. Aggregated analytics data contains no information that identifies you.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email us at cristian@laikasat.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
